I believe we all need and want to feel connected to other people. Human bonds can bring the greatest joy, and yet, can serve as the greatest source of pain. As a counselor, I come along side you to identify patterns of functioning, self-perceptions and communication that hinder relationships. Those same patterns often create feelings that escape in ways that affect the mind, body, and spirit. I use a variety of methods to promote making sense of your life as well as living it. The goal is to activate your own strengths, become equipped with concrete tools for coping and to release those burdens that have prevented trust, connection, and the appropriate expression of emotion. Whether you are here as an individual or a couple, we will enter into a partnership in order to untangle the things that trip up the incredible journey known as your life.
