Getting Started
When you come in for an in-person appointment, your therapist will greet you in the waiting room, and then start the wonderful process of getting to know you and helping you to feel better. Please bring your insurance card and photo ID (our insurance companies ask that we verify identity).
Some people like to arrive a few minutes early to settle in, relax and gather their thoughts and feelings, questions and experiences to bring into the session.
First Appointment
At the beginning of the session, your therapist will collect your payment if you have one. Most sessions last about 50-55 minutes.
For a virtual appointment, you will be sent an unique video link through our client portal, TherapyAppointment, via text and email at the time of your appointment. You will click on your link, join a virtual waiting room, and meet with your therapist virtually.
Scheduling your first appointment
Our friendly care coordinators will ask about your health insurance plan details so they can verify your benefits and share an estimate of your coverage. They will ask what you are seeking help with so they can match you with a therapist who is a good fit for you.
Some of our therapists will do a free 15-minute phone consultation before scheduling an appointment.
Our care coordinators will answer any questions you may have so you feel like you’re ready to get started with your new therapist.
Once our care coordinators schedule an intake appointment, they will send you an email with all the important information you will need for your appointment:
how to set up your account with our client portal, TherapyAppointment
any office location details if you have an in-person appointment
the links to our online intake forms
your estimated insurance benefits
your therapist’s contact information
