“One very important domain of our lives and experience that we tend to miss, ignore, abuse, or lose control of as a result of being in the automatic pilot mode is our own body.” ― Jon Kabat-Zinn
I am a licensed psychologist specializing in adult treatment, with a focus on integrating physical and emotional health. With nearly 20 years of experience in medical and behavioral health settings, I bring a data-informed, clinically grounded approach to psychotherapy that helps patients make meaningful progress toward wellness.
I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University New England, where I was trained to conceptualize individuals through a psychodynamic lens. This aligned with my perspective that people are shaped by their relationships and experiences—those encoded in DNA and those navigated from infancy through adulthood. I have completed extensive training in integrated care, trauma, and psychological assessment across hospital, outpatient, and multidisciplinary settings.
Before transitioning to full-time private practice, I served as Behavioral Health Director and Lead Psychologist at Metropolitan Pediatrics, where I developed and led an integrated behavioral health program within a large primary care system. My work emphasized collaboration with medical professionals and the use of clinical data to guide interventions that improve both psychological and physical outcomes.
In my current practice, I work with adults seeking to better understand and enhance their emotional well-being—often in the context of physical health concerns, chronic stress, life transitions, or burnout. I have a particular interest in supporting medical and helping professionals, as well as parents, who are experiencing the emotional toll of caregiving, workplace stress, or career changes.
I also specialize in working with individuals striving to improve their physical health—whether through lifestyle changes, managing chronic illness, or addressing other barriers. I believe physical and emotional wellness are deeply interconnected, and I help patients explore how behavioral, cognitive, and physiological factors can work together to promote resilience and vitality.
Additional areas of clinical interest include pregnancy, parenting, infertility, trauma, sexual challenges, adjustment to separation or loss, and coping with political and environmental stressors.
My therapeutic approach is warm yet direct. I believe strongly in the healing power of humor, exercise, music, time outdoors, social support, and occasional doses of quality chocolate. When clinically appropriate, I like to incorporate walk-and-talk sessions into my work. While I provide practical tools and strategies during sessions, I also encourage deeper exploration to help patients identify patterns and create lasting change.
I strive to create an affirming, respectful environment where individuals of all identities and backgrounds feel valued and supported.
In an age where much of our daily interaction is mediated by technology, I believe there is inherent value in meeting with patients in person. While I offer virtual sessions and recognize the convenience and flexibility they provide, I find that face-to-face interactions often foster deeper connections and can lead to enhanced clinical outcomes. Often my patients and I elect to utilize a hybrid option- meeting primarily in person but with the option of switching to virtual sessions on an as needed basis.
