We all encounter obstacles at various points in our lives. At times, these challenges can cause us to feel stuck or overwhelmed, making it difficult to move forward. We may also notice certain patterns repeating in our lives—patterns that may have a negative impact on our relationships, our work, and our overall well-being. Recognizing and addressing these patterns is an important step toward personal growth and improved mental health. As a counselor, I am here to support individuals through these very challenges.
At our core, most people desire to be seen, heard, and loved. These fundamental needs play a crucial role in our emotional well-being and shape the way we interact with others. When individuals feel acknowledged and valued, they are more likely to develop meaningful connections and experience a greater sense of belonging. The desire to be understood and accepted can influence many aspects of our lives, including our relationships, work, and overall mental health.
I work with people who feel anxious, worried, lonely, sad, not good enough, or uncertain about what to do next. My clients often struggle with self-esteem, attachment wounds, anxiety, hurtful relationships, family issues, difficult transitions, trauma, and many other life challenges. Most people I see are looking to build confidence and feel empowered to break free from unhealthy patterns.
As a counselor, I recognize the importance of creating a supportive environment where clients feel truly seen and heard. Providing a space for individuals to express themselves and share their experiences helps foster trust and encourages personal growth. This compassionate approach can make a significant difference for anyone seeking positive change and improved well-being. I will help you identify and address core beliefs, heal from past experiences, gain insight into your behaviors, and foster personal growth.
My primary therapeutic modality is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as it effectively addresses negative core beliefs that often underlie challenges such as anxiety, low self-esteem, and unhelpful behavioral patterns. However, I take an eclectic approach to counseling, meaning that I tailor my methods to each individual client. After meeting with a client and understanding their unique needs and goals, I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities to offer the most appropriate support.
For clients experiencing anxiety, I often incorporate techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which provides practical skills for managing distress and improving emotional regulation. In cases involving trauma, I utilize elements from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), both of which are effective in creating a safe space for healing and fostering personal growth. This flexible, client-centered approach allows me to meet each person where they are and support them in their journey toward positive change.

Education and Experience
I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling from Corban University in 2013, after completing my Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Western Oregon University in 2004. My academic background provided a solid foundation for my work as a counselor, equipping me with the knowledge and skills necessary to support individuals through various challenges.
Following my formal education, I completed an internship at Western Oregon University, where I had the opportunity to work closely with students. This experience allowed me to support their personal growth and help them navigate significant life transitions.
Over the past ten years, I have continued to build upon this foundation, gaining experience working with a diverse range of clients. I have enjoyed helping individuals through a variety of life challenges, further developing my counseling approach and deepening my commitment to supporting personal growth and well-being.
